Many new first-time drivers are of the opinion that they can take an intensive driving course and pass their driving test within a week or two, this is understandable given that some driving schools advertise offers for this type of course. This is only beneficial to the driving school as prices can be extortionate with a low success rate.
At LivingstonDrive we offer intensive driving courses to pupils with previous driving experience i.e. have taken lesson from other driving schools and close to test standard and are looking to change instructor/driving school, we do not offer intensive courses to first-time drivers.
This is to ensure that each pupil that train with LivingstonDrive has a full understanding of good car control, road safety rules, and have had sufficient practice to develop their skills as a safe, competent, and confident driver.

The process for taking an intensive course with LivingstonDrive
- Our initial conversation will be to find out the level of driving you have previously done, including number of previous lessons
- You will then be booked in for a two hours assessment with an instructor
- The assessment will take you on various roads as well as looking at reverse manoeuvres
- Your instructor will take notes during the assessment and give you feedback
- A lesson plan will be designed for you including the number of lessons you will need to get you through the test
- You take lessons based on the date of your test
- You sit your test – we have a 90% first-time success rate with intensive courses
